President and CEO
Andrew McKenna is the founder, President and CEO of McKenna & Associates. Mr. McKenna oversees the operations and strategic management of the firm which focuses on investing the firm’s capital into a variety of specialized sectors including healthcare, energy and minerals, telecom, film, real-estate and technology. McKenna also provides strategic council, advisory, consulting and research services to companies, individuals, and non-profits.
Previously, Mr. McKenna was the managing member and a founding partner of GoodSijn Management, L.L.C. and GoodSijn I, a private investment fund. Mr. McKenna helped lead GoodSijn Management, L.L.C., GoodSijn I and their affiliates through the inception, launch, and management processes of the fund. Mr. McKenna provided operations services, managed investor relations and was instrumental in the strategic execution of the fund. Mr. McKenna has advised, assisted and provided strategic counsel to Governors, members of Congress and Fortune 500 CEO’s on the inner-workings of Washington and franchise advocacy efforts.
Mr. McKenna was active in the federal issues debate in 2004 and 2005, and assumed the role of Finance Chair of the Progress for America Voter Fund, a conservative 527 organization, and has continued to provide expert leadership to numerous non-profit organizations and corporations since that time. In 2001, Mr. McKenna received a Presidential Appointment to the United States Department of Agriculture and served in the White House Liaison’s Office. Prior to that, Mr. McKenna worked on Presidential Candidate George W. Bush’s successful bid for the Presidency in 2000. Mr. McKenna graduated with a degree in Political Science from Lynchburg College where he played lacrosse and served as the College’s Honor Board Chairman.
An avid pilot, Mr. McKenna maintains his Instrument Commercial rating and his level III- Aerobatics Competency in the North American P-51 Mustang and North American T-6 Texan. Andrew serves on the Board of Trustees to his alma mater Lynchburg College, as well as the Board of Trustees to the Ford’s Theatre in Washington, DC. Andrew resides in Arlington, Virginia with his wife Kathleen, son AJ, and black-lab Jack.
